Spectacle lenses

There are various types of spectacle lenses that can be used to correct your vision. Moreover, this comes with many options of lens treatments to enhance the performance and personal comfort of your spectacles

Innovision Optometry

Single vision lenses have only one prescription power across the entire lens and are prescribed to correct myopia (short-sightedness), hyperopia (far-sightedness) and astigmatism (an imperfection in the eyes curvature)

Bifocal lenses have two prescription powers to correct both short sightedness and far sightedness. These lenses have a visible dividing line between the two.

Multifocal/progressive lenses have two or more prescriptions combined in a single lens to correct your vision at various distances. Multifocals are prescribed to people over the age of 40 who have difficulty focusing at different distances.

Types of Lens Treatments

Lens treatments: Lens Treatments can be applied to any type of optical lens to enhance performance and comfort.

High-index plastic lenses have excellent optical qualities. High-refractive index lenses are designed to be thinner and lighter than regular plastic and are often prescribed for high prescriptions.

Polycarbonate lenses are widely used for the manufacture of safety spectacles. These impact-resistant lenses are ideal for kids who are tough on their spectacles, as well as individuals who perform robust activity.

Anti-Reflective/ Anti-glare treatment is a coating that either bond to the surface of the lens or is built into the lens during the lens manufacturing process. This treatment eliminates glare from headlights, computer screens, and harsh lighting

UV Blocking treatment ensures that your eyes are protected from harmful ultraviolet radiation. Prolonged UV exposure can contribute to serious age-related eye conditions such as cataracts.

Blue Light control treatment helps with the prevention of eye strain from digital displays by reducing the amount of blue light exposure to your eyes.

Polarised lenses contain a filter that blocks horizontal light rays. This eliminates glare from reflected light on water, cars, and other shiny surfaces.
